GAC Enters Partnership With Melbourne City FC

At AAMI Park in Melbourne, GAC officially joined forces with Melbourne City FC on July 24, 2026, becoming the club’s official automotive partner. This collaboration marks a strategic expansion for the Chinese manufacturer as it deepens its footprint in the Australian sports landscape and engages with a broader local fanbase.

The partnership aligns the A-League club with GAC’s recent growth milestones, including the production of the company's 30 millionth vehicle earlier this year. Kevin Shu, CEO of GAC International Australia, noted that the automaker mirrors the club’s competitive drive, aiming to leverage this association to build sustainable market presence. Melbourne City FC CEO Brad Rowse emphasized that the deal reflects a shared ambition to challenge industry expectations and invest in long-term community relationships.

This agreement follows GAC’s previous collaboration with Sydney FC, signaling a broader strategy to integrate the brand into Australian culture. Under the banner of its "In Australia, For Australia" philosophy, the company plans to utilize these sports partnerships to introduce its intelligent mobility solutions to local consumers through direct engagement and localized services.
