Zakay Law Group Files Class Action Against Inn Ventures Over Labor Violations

San Diego attorneys have initiated a class action lawsuit against Inn Ventures and IVI Hotel Management, accusing the hospitality operators of systemic labor code violations. The complaint, filed in San Diego County Superior Court, centers on allegations that staff were routinely denied mandatory meal and rest breaks while remaining on-call.

The litigation, assigned Case No. 26CU034817C, claims the companies failed to provide accurate itemized wage statements, neglected to reimburse business expenses, and withheld gratuities. According to the filing, employees frequently worked shifts exceeding five hours without the legally required off-duty breaks. The lawsuit contends that management policies forced staff to remain on duty during designated rest periods, effectively forfeiting their break time without additional compensation.

Beyond meal break issues, the plaintiffs allege widespread violations of the California Labor Code, including failures to pay minimum and overtime wages. The firm representing the class, Zakay Law Group, APLC, argues that these practices constitute a pattern of unfair employment conduct. The legal team is currently directing inquiries regarding the case to attorney Jackland Hom.
