TrendAI Integrates Claude Opus 5 to Automate Virtual Patching

Security firm TrendAI is deploying Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 model to accelerate vulnerability prioritization and virtual patching across hybrid enterprise environments. By leveraging the model’s advanced reasoning capabilities, the company aims to close the critical window between identifying software flaws and applying protective mitigations before vendor fixes are released.

The integration marks an expansion of TrendAI’s role in Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, focusing on defensive AI applications. While automated tools have simplified vulnerability discovery, the industry faces an increasing struggle to protect infrastructure at the speed of modern exploitation. TrendAI intends to use the Opus 5 model to navigate this risk, utilizing its agentic workflows to analyze exposure and map attack paths more effectively than traditional static scanning methods.

Rachel Jin, Chief Platform and Business Officer at TrendAI, emphasized that the shift is designed to prioritize threats based on actual exploitability and business impact rather than generic severity scores. This approach supports the TrendAI Vision One platform, enabling SOC and AppSec teams to move toward context-aware risk mitigation. The deployment also adheres to Zero Data Retention standards, ensuring that data-protection requirements remain intact as the company scales its security operations.
