Microchip Technology Targets Edge AI With Hailo Acquisition

The integration of Hailo brings a substantial foundation to Microchip, including a base of over 100 active customers and a developer community exceeding 10,000 users. Mark Reiten, a senior corporate vice president at Microchip, noted that Hailo’s software ecosystem and AI acceleration capabilities align with the firm’s existing portfolio of FPGAs and embedded processing hardware.
