The new system combines the company’s existing PictArray technology and Pictorial software into a unified platform capable of processing 96 samples in under two hours. With plate reading times of less than one minute, the system is engineered to handle diverse biological samples, including serum, plasma, saliva, and cerebrospinal fluid. The rollout marks a transition toward broader commercial deployment, with the company initiating beta-site engagement this week.

CEO Jamie Platt noted that the instrument is intended to make protein analysis practical for a wider range of research settings. Chief Commercial Officer Janine McMurdie emphasized that the design prioritizes lab integration and reliability, moving beyond technical performance to address the economic realities of daily operations. The platform currently supports up to 20 analytes per well and is intended for use in biomarker discovery, immune profiling, and oncology research. Pictor plans a full commercial launch later this year, following the recent validation of its technology in the Journal of Immunological Methods.
