CD Valet Integrates Trustpilot Reviews to Gauge Banking Experience

Seattle-based marketplace CD Valet is moving beyond simple interest rate comparisons by integrating Trustpilot user reviews directly into its listings. The platform now displays real-time customer feedback on account opening and digital service, helping savers weigh the practical experience of banking against the allure of high annual percentage yields.

The integration allows users to evaluate approximately 40,000 certificates of deposit from nearly 5,000 financial institutions using verified, independent feedback. By surfacing data on account-opening processes and customer support, CD Valet aims to address the common friction points often encountered in digital-only banking. These reviews, hosted on Trustpilot’s infrastructure, are intended to provide a transparent look at service quality, allowing savers to determine if a specific bank’s digital interface justifies its current rate.

For financial institutions, this feature provides a new channel to build a public track record without requiring additional technical integration or incurring extra costs. Banks can monitor their performance through periodic reports and respond directly to customer feedback. This subjective data complements the platform’s existing use of BauerFinancial ratings, which track institutional financial strength. According to founder John Blizzard, the goal is to provide a more comprehensive view for research-driven depositors who prioritize service reliability alongside financial returns. The feature is currently live on the company’s website, with volume expected to scale as more savers contribute their experiences.
