Selected through a competitive process following regional youth leadership seminars, the students spent July 12–18 navigating the three branches of the federal government. The curriculum moved beyond textbooks, facilitating direct dialogues with military leaders, congressional staff, and career civil servants. The cohort toured the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Supreme Court, where they met with Deputy Marshal Paul Golden to discuss the interpretation of national law.

The summit also emphasized the physical history of the republic. Beyond the D.C. landmarks, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Lincoln Memorial, the group traveled to Philadelphia to study the foundations of the American Revolution. By providing this immersive experience at no cost to the attendees, the veteran-led organization aims to cultivate a new generation of informed leaders. As one participant noted, the exposure to these institutions solidified a personal commitment to future public service and community responsibility.
