L2 Aviation Joins U.S. Air Force KC-46 CASPER Sustainment Program

The U.S. Air Force has selected L2 Aviation as a contract holder for the KC-46 Commercial Aircraft Strategic Parts Exchange and Repair program. This five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity agreement allows the firm to compete for task orders dedicated to the sustainment and repair of the Pegasus refueling fleet.

This selection grants L2 Aviation a seat at the table for future competitions involving the teardown, testing, and evaluation of commercial-derived components for the Boeing KC-46A. The company will focus on maintaining mission readiness for the aircraft, which handles global aerial refueling, cargo transport, and aeromedical evacuation duties.

Tony Bailey, President and Chief Operating Officer at L2 Aviation, described the contract as a validation of the firm’s recent investments in engineering, manufacturing, and FAA-certified operations. Drew Bishop, Business Development Manager for Government Systems, noted that the award marks a strategic shift for the organization, demonstrating that its technical capabilities extend well beyond traditional avionics integration into broader military sustainment. As the KC-46 fleet grows, the company aims to leverage its existing infrastructure in metal fabrication and supply chain management to support the Department of Defense.
