The management shift follows the recent appointment of Brase, a former J.M. Smucker executive brought in to replace longtime chief Sean Connolly. Under the new hierarchy, business unit leaders Noelle O'Mara and Jill Dexter will report directly to the CEO, streamlining decision-making as the company navigates a period of significant volatility.

Conagra faces mounting pressure from stagnant sales and the persistent burden of rising commodity costs. These financial headwinds recently forced the company to halve its quarterly dividend, a move aimed at stabilizing its capital-allocation strategy. By removing the second-in-command post, Brase appears to be tightening operational control to address these fiscal challenges directly.
