Growth was consistent across most divisions, with Textron Aviation recording a 1% revenue increase to $1.5 billion, buoyed by higher aircraft pricing and aftermarket services. The Bell helicopter unit saw a 6% boost driven by military volume, while Textron Systems climbed 7% on the back of increased output for armored land vehicles and training support. The company’s industrial segment also posted gains, though the finance division faced a slight contraction, dropping from $15 million to $14 million in revenue.
Management reaffirmed its full-year guidance of $6.40 to $6.60 in adjusted earnings per share. This forecast hinges on securing additional government funding for the MV-75 Cheyenne program; should that support fail to materialize, the company cautioned that earnings could face a downward revision of 20 to 30 cents per share.
