The extended contract marks a departure from standard procurement patterns, allowing the two companies to move away from administrative churn and toward long-term innovation. Arcadis, which operates across 25 countries, will leverage the FCM Platform to integrate predictive analytics and global service standardization. For FCM, the move serves as a proof point for its 'alternative' market approach, which focuses on deep, multi-year collaboration rather than transactional service cycles.
Melissa Elf, Global Managing Director at FCM Travel, noted that this level of commitment is necessary for enterprises looking to challenge the status quo rather than simply manage costs. Arcadis Director of Travel Ian Spearing echoed this, emphasizing that the firm views the travel function as a business value driver. By pooling travel, meetings, and consulting services into a single partnership, the companies aim to stabilize their investment in sustainable growth and future-ready infrastructure.
