CNCF Sets Prague Stage for First European Observability Summit

Prague will host the debut Observability Summit Europe on 5 October, as the Cloud Native Computing Foundation brings together engineers to tackle the complexities of scaling modern infrastructure. The event focuses on standardizing metrics and logs amid the rising influence of AI and the Model Context Protocol in production environments.

The program features over 25 technical sessions curated to address the practical demands of cloud-native systems. Experts from the developer and site reliability engineering communities will explore core topics including Observability as Code, automated synthetic monitoring, and methods for embedding telemetry directly into DevOps pipelines. Jonathan Bryce, executive director of CNCF, noted that the summit serves as a dedicated space for the open-source community to collaborate on resilient technologies required for increasingly complex AI workloads.

Sessions are organized into three primary tracks: AI-driven observability, deep dives into CNCF projects like Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, and end-user case studies focusing on real-world deployment strategies. Notable discussions include security research in telemetry pipelines and the forensic challenges posed by autonomous agents that leave few traces. Registration is currently open, with early bird pricing of €150 available until 31 July. The event, supported by Odigos, OpenSearch Software Foundation, and VictoriaMetrics, will be co-located with the Open Source Summit Europe.
