Martin Madaus Joins Haemonetics Board of Directors

With over three decades of experience steering global life sciences and diagnostics firms, Martin Madaus has been appointed to the Haemonetics Corporation Board of Directors. His tenure on the board began July 24, 2026, marking a strategic addition as the medical technology company seeks to accelerate its commercial growth.

Madaus currently serves as a Senior Operating Executive at The Carlyle Group, a role he has held since 2019, focusing on healthcare investment performance. His background includes high-level executive positions at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, where he oversaw a major business turnaround, and Millipore Corporation, which he led through a transformation that concluded with a 2010 acquisition by Merck KGaA. Earlier in his career, he served as President and CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America.

Beyond his executive history, Madaus maintains active leadership roles on the boards of Repligen Corporation and Azenta, Inc. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Munich and a Ph.D. from the Veterinary School of Hanover. Ellen Zane, Chair of the Haemonetics board, noted that his expertise in managing complex organizations will be central to the company’s ongoing strategy and pursuit of operational excellence.
