The festival, presented alongside Loto-Québec, saw a significant transformation of the Place des Festivals into a large-scale open-air cabaret. This new layout, featuring tables and food service, allowed fans to experience performances in a more intimate, accessible setting. The programming spanned over 25 stages, hosting more than 1,200 artists and industry professionals. Notable appearances included David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, and a landmark outdoor show by "Weird Al" Yankovic, which drew the largest crowd in the event’s history.
Beyond live performances, the festival functioned as a critical production hub. Organizers delivered 61 television episodes for 15 international broadcasters, including Netflix and Prime Video. The "New Faces" showcase continued its track record of talent discovery, with performers Ainsley Bailey and Gary Simons securing spots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon immediately following their sets. With an economic impact reaching $37 million and nearly 175,000 indoor tickets sold, Sylvain Parent-Bédard, President and CEO of Just For Laughs, noted that the festival’s ability to unite diverse audiences through comedy remains its primary cultural contribution. The organization has already scheduled its return for July 21, 2027.
