The company maintains a portfolio ranging from industrial fire suppression systems to specialized municipal support, including firetruck repair, hose hydrotesting, and air mask fit testing, all under the oversight of the Louisiana State Fire Marshall.

Co-owners Bert Prejean and Stephen Robert noted that the transition aims to preserve the firm’s local legacy while leveraging Pye-Barker's national scale to expand service capabilities. For Pye-Barker CEO Bart Proctor, the acquisition serves as a strategic play to deepen expertise in fire suppression, keeping existing technicians in place to ensure continuity for local customers. Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP served as legal counsel for the transaction, which adds to Pye-Barker’s network of over 250 locations and 9,000 employees nationwide.
