The capital injection marks the largest investment to date for a firm dedicated solely to bringing brokerage capabilities to smaller financial institutions. InvestiFi has expanded its reach from four clients in 2024 to more than 60 today, a rapid growth trajectory that highlights a shift in how regional banks approach customer retention. Research from Cornerstone Advisors indicates that 43% of Gen Z and Millennial investors currently move money to third-party platforms, a trend that drains liquidity from local credit unions.
InvestiFi’s technology allows users to trade stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies directly from their checking or savings accounts. By removing the friction of external transfers, the platform aims to keep assets within the local banking ecosystem. According to CEO Kian Sarreshteh, the round is particularly notable because the funding originated largely from the institutions that already utilize the software. With this new backing, the company intends to scale its infrastructure and broaden its product suite to further compete with national brokerages and neobanks.
