The company’s second-quarter revenue climbed to $31.6 billion, bolstered by steady growth in postpaid phone and broadband subscriptions. Josh Goodell, vice president of broadband product development, attributes this momentum to the synergy between mobile wireless and fixed 5G home internet, noting that bundled services significantly improve customer satisfaction. For those pairing the two, the monthly cost for home internet drops to $35.
To further accelerate growth, AT&T is streamlining its distribution. Starting next month, customers can visit retail locations, purchase the equipment, and walk out with their home internet setup immediately. This move complements the Build-a-Plan initiative launched in May, which lowered the entry price for single-line plans to $15. By allowing users to customize data, hotspotting, and home internet features à la carte, AT&T is aggressively targeting individuals who previously avoided complex family bundles.
