Hagens Berman Expands Roblox Securities Lawsuit Following Stock Drop

A federal class action against Roblox Corporation has entered a new phase, with investigators extending the relevant period for potential claims through April 30, 2026. Shareholders who suffered significant losses during this eighteen-month window are now being sought to lead the litigation against the gaming giant over its safety disclosures.

The litigation centers on whether Roblox management misled investors regarding the impact of its age-verification rollout. While the company publicly emphasized its commitment to protecting young users, the lawsuit alleges that the internal reality of these safety measures—implemented starting in November 2025—severely hampered growth. The legal dispute hinges on disclosures that began in late 2025, when a shift toward global age-verification technology triggered a 16% single-day stock decline, effectively erasing $13 billion in market capitalization.

By April 2026, the company confirmed that the rollout caused a sharp deceleration in daily active user growth and a reduction in organic app store sign-ups. Roblox subsequently slashed its 2026 bookings growth forecast from 24% to 10%, citing friction caused by the verification process. Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the investigation, stated the firm is examining exactly when management became aware of these adverse consequences and whether investors were intentionally misled. Interested parties have until August 7, 2026, to apply for the lead plaintiff position in the case.
