Shaughnessy manages the full lifecycle of complex projects, offering counsel on procurement, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution. Admitted to practice in Georgia and Texas, he frequently represents owners, developers, and contractors in arbitration and trial proceedings involving significant technical and financial exposure. His work spans diverse sectors, including power generation, manufacturing, and data center construction.

Greenberg Traurig co-president Ernest LaMont Greer emphasized that Shaughnessy’s dual focus on transactional law and litigation aligns with the firm’s broader real estate strategy. Robert L. Crewdson, chair of the Atlanta construction practice, noted that the addition will support the firm’s continued growth in the Southeast. Shaughnessy, a graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, cited the firm’s global reach and collaborative structure as key factors in his decision to transition his practice to the new platform.
