CEO Mike Simonds credited the bottom-line performance to disciplined cost management and increased client retention. While the company saw an 11% decline in the number of average worksite employees to approximately 298,000, adjusted net income rose 35% to $1.55 per diluted share compared to the same period last year. TriNet’s adjusted EBITDA reached $128 million, reflecting a margin expansion to 10.9%.

Management is now banking on a robust fall selling season to sustain momentum. The company is leaning into AI-driven service enhancements and an expanded sales force to capture market share among small and medium-sized businesses. Looking ahead, TriNet projects full-year 2026 diluted net income per share between $2.85 and $3.35, with adjusted net income per share expected to land between $4.50 and $5.10.
