Vinamilk Marks Half-Century with Second Labor Hero Title

Fifty years after its founding in the wake of war, Vietnam’s dairy giant Vinamilk received its second Labor Hero title on July 23. The ceremony in Hanoi celebrated a transition from post-war rebuilding to a global brand now valued at 2.6 billion USD, reinforcing its role in the country’s industrial development.

During the anniversary event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented CEO Mai Kieu Lien with the Third-Class Independence Order. The honors follow a decree signed by General Secretary and President To Lam, recognizing the company’s evolution from restoring early dairy factories to securing a place among the world’s top 36 dairy firms by revenue. The company currently exports to 65 countries, with total export value reaching 3.9 billion USD.

Beyond industrial milestones, the company utilized the anniversary to expand its social impact. Vinamilk announced the donation of 600,000 milk cartons to children nationwide, distributed through the Vietnam Association for Protection of Child Rights and the Vietnam Children's Fund. This contribution adds to a long-running initiative that has provided over 43 million cartons to more than 550,000 children since its inception. Health Minister Dao Hong Lan recognized these efforts with a Certificate of Merit for the brand’s sustained commitment to national nutrition standards.
