Beyond Bland's individual accolade, the credit union has received the 2026 Great Place To Work Certification and a spot on Forbes' list of America's Best Employers for Company Culture. These awards underscore a period of expansion for the institution, which now manages over $22 billion in assets and serves more than 1.2 million members across the state.
Heather Andrade-Neumann, executive vice president and chief people officer, attributes these results to a deliberate focus on employee support and internal career development. The Forbes ranking, based on a survey of 217,000 U.S. employees, highlights Golden 1 as one of only two credit unions in the banking category to receive the honor. Furthermore, the organization achieved an 83% employee satisfaction score in the Great Place To Work survey, a figure that sits 26 percentage points higher than the national average.
