Cloud for Good Acquires StackNexus to Strengthen Public Sector Presence

Asheville-based Salesforce partner Cloud for Good has acquired StackNexus, a firm specializing in digital solutions for state and local government agencies. The deal aims to accelerate the integration of specialized public sector tools into Cloud for Good’s existing portfolio, following a broader strategy to modernize government service delivery across North America.

The acquisition merges StackNexus’s deep expertise in citizen engagement, licensing, and grants management with Cloud for Good’s delivery infrastructure. Tal Frankfurt, founder and CEO of Cloud for Good, noted that the move builds upon the firm’s recent efforts to refine its government-focused strategy, a vision supported by board member Tommie Fern, who serves as EVP of SLED Sales at Salesforce.

For StackNexus, the transition provides the scale necessary to deploy its intellectual property to a wider range of government clients. Suman Akula, CEO of StackNexus, emphasized that the shared cultural focus on public sector transformation will remain central to the combined operation. The merger follows Cloud for Good’s acquisition of EMS Consulting earlier in March 2026, signaling an aggressive push to leverage newer technologies like Agentforce and Data Cloud within the nonprofit and public sectors. The company will continue to operate under the Cloud for Good brand, maintaining current support models for its existing client base in education and financial services.
