Regal Global Entertainment Hits Record $160 Million Weekend

Over 160 million dollars flowed into Regal Global Entertainment between July 30 and August 2, marking the highest-grossing four-day window in the company’s history. The surge, fueled by the debut of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the sustained popularity of The Odyssey, saw packed auditoriums across the firm’s global circuit.

The record-breaking performance extended beyond ticket sales as Regal recorded its highest-ever spend per patron. Guests flocked to concession stands and purchased collectible merchandise at rates that exceeded internal projections, frequently selling out of promotional items tied to the weekend’s top films. In the United States, premium formats including 4DX, ScreenX, and RPX reached their own historical peaks as viewers prioritized immersive theatrical experiences.

Regal Irvine Spectrum led the charge, securing the top spot among the nation's 20 highest-grossing locations. CEO Eduardo Acuña credited the success to a diversified slate that balanced superhero blockbusters with family-oriented titles such as Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, and Moana. This variety sustained foot traffic from morning through late-night showtimes, signaling a robust appetite for communal cinema viewing through the remainder of 2026.
