The deal brings nearly 1,400 engineering and telecom specialists from 39 countries into the HCLTech fold, significantly bolstering the company’s delivery capabilities across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. By absorbing HPE’s specialized talent and intellectual property, HCLTech aims to accelerate the transition of Communications Service Providers (CSPs) toward autonomous, software-defined operations.

This transaction consolidates key assets in 5G Subscriber Data Management, Telecom Operational Support Systems, and network virtualization. Anil Ganjoo, HCLTech’s Chief Growth Officer, noted that the move is designed to simplify the complex shift CSPs face as they evolve into tech-centric platforms. The acquisition combines these new assets with HCLTech’s existing 30-year industry footprint, focusing on private 5G, multi-cloud networking, and AI-led applications. HPE Executive Vice President Rami Rahim expressed confidence in the handover, citing HCLTech's proven track record as a partner in driving innovation within the communications sector.
