Following an early delivery in Genoa on July 23, the ship completed a five-night Mediterranean Prelude Journey—hosting global brand ambassador and tennis champion Jannik Sinner as its inaugural guest—before arriving in Spain for the formal christening. The event, attended by MSC Group leadership and industry figures, featured a gala dinner and performances by Sister Sledge and DJ Bob Sinclar, underscoring the brand's pivot toward high-end, experiential travel.
Measuring 19.2 meters longer than its predecessors, the vessel prioritizes guest volume, offering 19.5 square meters of public space per person. The architectural evolution includes a redesigned lobby featuring Murano glass chandeliers and a second Owner’s Residence crafted by designer Patricia Urquiola. Beyond aesthetics, the ship integrates new epicurean destinations, such as The Cellar, which stocks nearly 350 labels, and a reimagined wellness sanctuary on Deck 5. Designed for future-ready operations, the ship’s LNG propulsion and shore-power capabilities reflect a shift toward reducing maritime carbon footprints, with itineraries scheduled to span Northern Europe, Iceland, and North America following the August 3 departure from Barcelona.
