Oceanco Debuts Leviathan and Draak at 2026 Monaco Yacht Show

At the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, Oceanco will showcase the 111-meter Leviathan and the 93-meter Draak, marking the shipyard’s first simultaneous presentation of a new build and a major rebuild. Both vessels belong to the Inkfish fleet, owned by Gabe Newell, and represent a shift toward collaborative, science-focused maritime engineering.

Leviathan, delivered in November 2025, challenges traditional yacht layouts by prioritizing communal interaction and crew efficiency. Its design integrates specialized facilities, including a laboratory, hospital, and advanced dive center, specifically engineered to assist the scientific community. Draak, completed in June 2026 through Oceanco’s Life Cycle Support division, complements this mission. Originally a different vessel, it underwent a comprehensive rebuild to function as a companion ship, equipped with heavy-duty lifting systems and specialized diving capabilities to support Inkfish expeditions.

Since joining the Oceanco team in July 2025, Newell has pushed the shipyard to incorporate broader technological expertise. This strategy includes integrating companies like Alewijnse and Winel into the builder’s ecosystem alongside existing partners such as Lateral and Aluship. Oceanco CEO Marcel Onkenhout emphasized that these projects reflect a move toward unconventional, owner-driven visions that merge luxury with functional utility. The vessels will be stationed at the Monaco cruise terminal during the show, providing a platform for the builder to demonstrate its current capacity for both new construction and complex refit operations.
