Jamaican Mango & Lime Targets Hairline Health with EdgeForce System

Frequent styling often leaves hairlines prone to irritation and breakage, prompting Chicago-based Jamaican Mango & Lime to rethink edge care. The brand is launching EdgeForce, a system that blends professional-grade styling hold with skincare actives, treating the delicate skin along the hairline with the same rigor as facial skincare.

The new lineup centers on two distinct formats: a styling foam and a color-to-clear gel. The EdgeForce Foam is designed to mold and refresh styles without the heavy residue common in traditional edge control products. The gel incorporates a tinted formula that simplifies precise application, turning clear once the style sets to prevent messy buildup.

Beyond styling, the products integrate ingredients like Niacinamide, Caffeine Extract, and Collagen Peptides. These additions aim to support the skin barrier while users manage their edges. According to Anja Eason Johnson, the brand’s social media manager, the priority is addressing the long-term impact of repeated product application on fragile hair and skin. The collection is segmented into five varieties, ranging from Dragonfruit Oil for hydration to Blue Tansy Oil for soothing, each featuring specific scents and active compounds. The foam is currently available for $7.99, while the gels will hit shelves in September with price points starting at $5.99.
