VT Markets Launches Round-the-Clock Gold Trading

Gold prices often shift during weekends due to geopolitical developments, leaving traders sidelined until Monday morning. To bridge this gap, Sydney-based VT Markets has introduced XAUUSD247, a CFD product allowing clients to trade gold 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including market holidays.

The new offering serves as the latest pillar of the firm’s Bold as Gold campaign, which seeks to modernize traditional metal trading benchmarks. By enabling continuous access, the platform aims to help investors navigate price volatility that occurs outside standard exchange operating hours. Dandelyn Koh, Head of Global Marketing at VT Markets, noted that the product provides a mechanism for users to manage exposure during weekend economic data releases and unexpected global events.

Technical specifications for XAUUSD247 include a minimum trade size of 1 ounce, significantly lower than the standard 100-ounce contract. The firm has set weekday spreads starting at 15 points and weekend spreads at 40 points, with no commission fees. To optimize capital efficiency, the product utilizes a single-sided margin model; traders holding simultaneous buy and sell positions are only margined on the larger side. Risk management features are integrated through tiered leverage and exposure limits that scale based on the size of open positions. The instrument is now available to eligible clients via the VT Markets mobile application and the MT5 platform.
