The conference schedule highlights the evolving role of open source as a backbone for both consumer electronics and high-stakes industrial systems. A centerpiece of the gathering is a featured conversation between Linux creator Linus Torvalds and Ericsson’s Dirk Hohndel, who will explore the future of vendor-neutral collaboration and the expansion of the open source ecosystem.

Technical tracks will focus on the practical implementation of agentic AI, emphasizing the need for transparent data access and security guardrails. Parallel sessions address the reliability of software in regulated environments, particularly within the automotive and aerospace sectors. Experts from companies including Microsoft, Dell, and Dynatrace are slated to present on topics ranging from Kubernetes memory benchmarking to the use of SBOMs for regulatory readiness. With registration now open, the Linux Foundation is offering tiered access to support academic researchers, hobbyists, and small businesses.
