Hugel Posts Record First-Half Profits Amid Global Expansion

South Korean aesthetics giant Hugel reported its strongest first-half performance to date, with consolidated net sales surging 27.2% to KRW 254.5 billion. The record growth, fueled by massive demand for botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, highlights the company's aggressive push into U.S. and Brazilian markets.

The company’s net income climbed 23.5% to KRW 85.3 billion for the first six months of 2026, even as operating profit growth leveled to 8.4%. This slight cooling in profit margins stems from heavy strategic investment into U.S. direct sales operations and marketing initiatives designed to cement long-term international dominance.

Global performance remains the primary engine, with overseas sales now accounting for 67% of total revenue. Sales in the Americas more than doubled during the first half, while Asia-Pacific and European markets saw mid-to-high 20% growth. Domestically, Hugel continues to fend off stiff competition in the K-aesthetics sector, where its combined sales of toxin and fillers rose 2.5% to KRW 53.5 billion. The cosmetics division also contributed significantly, posting a 31.7% increase in first-half sales to reach KRW 39 billion.
