Keurig Dr Pepper Posts Strong Second-Quarter Gains

Keurig Dr Pepper reported a robust second quarter for 2026, with net sales surging 75.6% to $7.3 billion, a performance fueled largely by the recent JDE Peet's acquisition. Despite inflationary headwinds and integration costs, the company successfully reaffirmed its full-year guidance, projecting double-digit growth in adjusted earnings per share.

CEO Tim Cofer attributed the quarter's momentum to a balanced portfolio, noting that U.S. Refreshment Beverages delivered double-digit growth in both top and bottom lines. While the U.S. Coffee segment faced pressures from a reporting shift following the JDE Peet's integration, the company's international operations and refreshment business helped stabilize the consolidated results. Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $0.57, a 16.3% increase compared to the previous year, signaling resilience amidst complex organizational changes.

Management remains focused on debt reduction as it navigates the ongoing transformation, targeting a pro-forma leverage ratio of approximately 4.1x by the end of the year. The company continues to prioritize operational readiness for a planned separation of its coffee and beverage portfolios in early 2027. With free cash flow hitting $714 million for the quarter, Keurig Dr Pepper is maintaining its financial commitments while absorbing the significant integration costs associated with its latest strategic expansion.
