This collaboration centers on integrating Leopard Imaging’s MIPI CSI-2 camera modules with SolidRun’s Hailo-15 System-on-Module and HummingBoard AIOT platforms. By ensuring compatibility between the hardware and optics, the partnership allows engineers to bypass complex integration phases. The current setup supports modules based on Sony’s IMX678 and IMX334 sensors, offering dual 12-megapixel image signal processors and up to 20 TOPS of edge AI performance.
Dr. Atai Ziv, CEO of SolidRun, noted that the initiative aims to remove the technical hurdles typically associated with camera integration, enabling teams to prioritize application development. Leopard Imaging CEO Bill Pu added that the joint effort focuses on delivering the reliability required for high-stakes environments like medical imaging and autonomous systems. The validated platform is available immediately, including production-ready hardware and supporting documentation for immediate evaluation.
