Grati-Tractor Tour Brings Nationwide Farmer Appreciation to State Fairs

A working family tractor is currently traversing the American Midwest, serving as a mobile monument to agricultural labor. Known as the Grati-Tractor, the vehicle is collecting one million messages of gratitude for farmers at major state fairs, bridging the gap between urban consumers and the people who sustain them.

The tour, launched by Pivot Bio, recently began a 1,500-mile journey to gather public support for the agricultural community. By stopping at the Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota state fairs, organizers aim to highlight the essential role farmers play in providing food, fuel, and raw materials. CEO Chris Abbott describes these fairs as the natural heart of the initiative, noting that they have historically served as the primary venue for rural communities to showcase innovations and hard work.

The centerpiece of the campaign is a 69-year-old tractor sourced from the Boedeker Brothers Farm in Elsberry, Missouri. Tom Boedeker, a fourth-generation farmer, serves as an honorary ambassador for the project. Visitors at the fairs can photograph the tractor and contribute personal notes to the collection. For those unable to attend in person, Pivot Bio maintains an online portal to submit virtual messages. The tour is scheduled for the Wisconsin State Fair from August 7–9, the Iowa State Fair on August 22–23, and the Minnesota State Fair from September 5–7.
