Havertys Furniture Declares Dividend and Authorizes $15 Million Buyback

The Atlanta-based home furnishings retailer Haverty Furniture Companies will distribute a cash dividend to shareholders this September, marking a continuous streak of annual payouts since 1935. Simultaneously, the company's board has greenlit a fresh $15 million stock repurchase program to be executed through open market or private transactions.

Shareholders of record as of August 25 will receive payments on September 9. The dividend is set at $0.33 per share for common stock and $0.31 per share for Class A common stock. This financial commitment underscores the company's long-standing policy of returning capital to investors, a tradition maintained for nearly a century.

Beyond the dividend, the board’s authorization for a $15 million stock buyback provides flexibility for the company to repurchase shares at its discretion. Havertys, which operates 129 showrooms across 17 states, continues to focus on its middle to upper-middle market segment as it navigates the current fiscal year.
