The company’s performance over the first half of the year reflects a broader trend of narrowing losses. While the initial six months of 2026 resulted in a net loss of $0.4 million, this figure represents a substantial improvement over the $1.2 million loss recorded during the first half of 2025. Revenue for this six-month window reached $38.6 million, up from $36.3 million in the prior year.

Avalon Holdings maintains a diverse portfolio, balancing waste management services—including landfill operations and injection well maintenance—with the hospitality sector. Its subsidiary, Avalon Resorts and Clubs, continues to manage a hotel, four golf courses, and various recreation facilities. Financial results indicate that waste management services contributed $10.1 million in revenue for the recent quarter, while golf and related operations generated $10.8 million, reflecting the company’s ongoing reliance on both industrial and leisure-based income streams.
