Lode Gold Secures Three-Year Drilling Permit for Fremont Mine

Lode Gold Resources has received a three-year administrative permit from Mariposa County to expand mineral exploration at its flagship Fremont Gold Mine in California. The approval clears the path for a 3,500 to 4,500-meter drilling campaign slated to begin this summer ahead of a 2027 pre-feasibility study.

The permit authorizes surface exploration across the company's private, patented land, enabling a technical push to modernize historical data. Management plans to focus on metallurgical optimization, geotechnical rock mechanics, and strategic infill drilling within the Pine Tree-Josephine zones. These efforts aim to convert current indicated resources into mineral reserves, providing the necessary density for advanced development modeling.

Beyond the immediate technical baseline work, the company is eyeing long-term expansion across the property's 4-kilometer strike. Recent structural analysis, supported by predictive modeling, suggests significant potential at depth. CEO Wendy T. Chan noted that the regulatory clearance provides the framework to systematically test grade continuity and regional targets. With historical production reaching 10.7 grams per tonne prior to the site's closure during World War II, the company is now positioning the brownfield project for a potential return to active development.
