Zalewski transitions into the role following a tenure as president of Payer Solutions at Evernorth, where she managed business operations for health plans and employer clients. Her career, which spans over 20 years, centers on organizational transformation and the development of high-performing teams. At HMA, she will oversee the company's efforts to improve healthcare affordability and member outcomes while steering its long-term strategic direction.

Lindsay Harris, a member of the HMA board and chief commercial officer at Cambia Health Solutions, cited Zalewski’s industry insight and commitment to corporate culture as primary drivers for the appointment. Zalewski described the firm as having built a unique reputation for service, noting her intent to leverage the company’s existing momentum to create additional value for partners and employees. The move arrives as HMA invests in new technology-enabled services and expands its portfolio of healthcare solutions for the self-funded market.
