Insomnia Cookies Offers 30,000 Free Cookie Packs to Class of 2030

College freshmen graduating in 2030 can bypass traditional admissions for a spot at the newly minted Insomnia University, where the only requirement for entry is a rewards account. The bakery chain is distributing 30,000 complimentary six-packs of its classic cookies to students nationwide to kick off the academic year.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. ET on August 11, incoming students can enroll by updating their profiles in the Insomnia Rewards app with their university details and expected graduation year. Once the limit of 30,000 participants is reached, the promotion will close, making speed a priority for those looking to secure their free treats. Recipients must redeem their cookies in person at participating U.S. bakery locations by September 15, presenting a valid student ID at the counter to claim the offer.

Seth Berkowitz, founder and CEO of the Philadelphia-based chain, noted that the company’s roots are tied to his own college experience, where he first identified a need for late-night food options. The brand, which now operates over 350 locations, intends for this giveaway to serve as an introduction to their role in campus life, supporting students through late-night study sessions and social gatherings. This offer is strictly limited to in-store redemptions and excludes delivery or pickup orders.
