Purple Innovation Reports Q2 Losses Amid Wholesale Slump

Purple Innovation posted a $3.2 million net loss for the second quarter of 2026, as a sharp 19.1% decline in wholesale revenue offset gains in the company's showroom business. Despite the shortfall, the Utah-based mattress maker managed to improve its adjusted EBITDA to $2.1 million.

CEO Rob DeMartini attributed the mixed performance to a challenging industry climate, noting that while the firm failed to meet top-line expectations, its direct-to-consumer strategy is showing resilience. Showroom revenue climbed 16.6%, providing a necessary counterbalance to the broader weakness in market demand.

Financial discipline remains a core focus as the company navigates the current environment. By reducing operating expenses—largely through the absence of previous restructuring costs and lower professional service fees—the company successfully narrowed its GAAP net loss compared to the same period last year. Following the quarter's close, Purple Innovation also regained compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum bid price requirement, resolving a lingering listing concern. Looking ahead, the company has lowered its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $420 million and $440 million, while maintaining its target for adjusted EBITDA of $20 million to $25 million.
