Shea Homes to Launch First Colorado 55+ Resort Community in Loveland

With plans to break ground on a 543-home enclave in Loveland, Shea Homes is bringing its signature Trilogy brand to Colorado for the first time. The development, slated for a late 2026 sales launch, aims to anchor the Kinston neighborhood of the Centerra master-planned community with a boutique, wellness-focused resort lifestyle.

The project will feature homes ranging from 1,430 to 3,090 square feet, with entry-level pricing starting in the low $500,000 range. Jeff McQueen, president of Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities, described the site as a natural evolution for the developer, which has operated in Colorado for four decades. The community is positioned to leverage the existing infrastructure of Centerra, a high-performing master-planned development known for its sculpture gardens, retail hubs, and extensive trail networks.

Central to the Trilogy Centerra experience is a 6,500-square-foot private Open Wellness + Social Club. This facility is designed to serve as the community’s social anchor, housing a movement studio, fitness equipment, casual dining, and a bar. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, pickleball courts, and event lawns. Unlike larger-scale age-restricted developments, Trilogy is positioning this site as a boutique alternative, prioritizing a more intimate scale for its residents. Realberry, the master developer behind Centerra, views the addition as a strategic fit for Kinston, which already emphasizes nature-based living and communal gathering spaces like The Hub.
