The radar deployment will see units positioned at the ends of the airport's two runways, creating a continuous 360-degree monitoring zone. This technology, which originated through contracts with the U.S. Air Force and NASA, automates risk alerts, transmitting data directly to monitors in control towers and bird control vehicles. DeTect’s APAC regional office in South Korea will oversee the project, with manufacturing based in the United States.

With over 600 systems currently active in aviation safety roles across the EU, Canada, and the Middle East, the Jakarta installation joins a global network of monitoring infrastructure designed to minimize the collision risks posed by avian activity near flight paths.
