Investors Face August 17 Deadline in Embecta Securities Class Action

Investors who suffered losses in Embecta Corp. stock between November 25, 2025, and May 4, 2026, have until August 17, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs. The class action suit centers on allegations that the company misled shareholders about the stability of its insulin pen needle business.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claims that Embecta management repeatedly described its pen needle portfolio as stable and resilient during the class period. Plaintiffs contend these assurances masked significant competitive losses and volume declines within the retail market—facts the company allegedly disregarded while maintaining positive financial guidance.

The discrepancy surfaced on May 5, 2026, when Embecta reported a steep revenue decline, slashed its full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance by 43%, and reduced its quarterly dividend from $0.15 to $0.01 per share. The announcement triggered a 57.8% drop in the company’s stock price in a single day. Reed Kathrein, a partner at Hagens Berman, is leading the investigation into whether these financial disclosures constitute a violation of federal securities laws.
