The new product, aptly named The Domino, features a buttery pan dough encrusted with Parmesan cheese, baked in a rectangular mold to achieve a signature crispy edge. Each unit is finished with two layers of cheese, a choice of sauce, and up to three toppings, topped off with the brand's standard garlic seasoning. The pizza is cut into two distinct slices, mirroring the shape of the company's iconic logo.
Joe Jordan, the company's chief operating officer and incoming CEO, stated that the product addresses a significant gap in their current menu. According to internal and independent testing, the item ranks among the most successful product introductions in the brand's 65-year history. The company intends to integrate the offering into its existing Mix and Match promotion, pricing the individual pizzas at $6.99 each when ordered alongside other menu items. This shift toward individual portions reflects a broader strategy to accommodate modern dining habits, where portable, highly customizable meals are increasingly prioritized over traditional communal sharing.
