H+H International Stabilizes After Harsh Winter Impact

Following a difficult first quarter marked by severe winter weather, Copenhagen-based H+H International reported a robust recovery in the second quarter of 2026. The firm achieved an EBIT of DKK 43 million, signaling a normalization of performance as restructuring efforts in Germany begin to yield tangible financial results.

CEO Jörg Brinkmann confirmed that the company is maintaining its full-year outlook despite persistent market headwinds, particularly within the United Kingdom. Organic revenue growth climbed to 6%, while sales volumes rose by 4%, largely bolstered by strong performance in the Polish market. Gross margins remained steady at 22%, mirroring the same period last year.

Operational efficiency played a critical role in the quarterly turnaround. The company generated DKK 107 million in cash flow from operating activities, a significant swing from the negative DKK 19 million recorded in the second quarter of 2025. To navigate ongoing volatility, H+H International has moved to adjust shift systems at its British plants. Furthermore, the company successfully bolstered its liquidity through asset sales, which generated net proceeds of DKK 49 million.
