The inventor, who works for an electric company, spent years witnessing the dangers of standard lanyards catching fire or melting onto workers' necks. This new strap ensures a hard hat remains securely fastened while providing a protective barrier against high-heat incidents. The design prioritizes durability and ease of use, making it a critical upgrade for powerline workers and those in high-voltage environments.
