Chapters Health System Secures Hospice Expansion in Sarasota County

Sarasota County residents will soon gain access to specialized end-of-life services following a state-issued certificate of need awarded to Chapters Health System. The organization currently serves over 21,000 individuals annually across the state, utilizing a comprehensive model that integrates medical social work, grief support, and spiritual care. Andrew Molosky, President and CEO of Chapters Health System, described the expansion as a vital progression in the company's effort to standardize chronic illness care. The nonprofit, which provides more than $10 million in uncompensated care each year, intends to replicate its existing service infrastructure in the new territory.

Rhonda White, President of Hospice & PACE, attributed the successful bid to the company’s internal culture and proven service record. Since its founding in 1983, the system has grown into a network of 30 distinct programs, ranging from Medicare Advantage plans to advanced illness consulting. This latest development signals a continued push to solidify its presence as a dominant nonprofit hospice operator in the region.
