Trulieve Finalizes Corporate Shift from Canada to Delaware

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. has officially completed its transition from British Columbia to Delaware, aligning its legal home with its primary U.S. operations. The move, finalized on August 11, 2026, aims to improve the company's appeal to American investors and secure potential inclusion in major financial market indexes.

The corporate migration follows a decisive vote from shareholders during a special meeting held on August 5. The British Columbia Supreme Court granted the final legal clearance on August 10, allowing the company to finalize the necessary filings with the state of Delaware the following day. Trulieve CEO Kim Rivers noted that the restructuring reflects the company's commitment to the U.S. market, where it currently maintains medical cannabis operations across states including Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and West Virginia.

Despite the change in corporate jurisdiction, the company’s subordinate voting shares will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol TRLV without interruption. This shift is part of a broader strategy to simplify the company’s corporate profile as it continues to execute its hub-based expansion model across the country.
