The Gothenburg-based firm will now handle site installations and daily operations through dedicated customer delivery projects, such as the ongoing Vestmanna site in the Faroe Islands. By relying on external and local resources for these tasks, the company intends to gain flexibility when meeting site-specific requirements. Concurrently, all development regarding maintenance tools and operational methods is moving under the purview of Chief Technology Officer Bernt Erik Westre to ensure these features are baked into the Dragon-class product design from the outset.
"This project-based approach enables greater flexibility and efficiency in integrating local and external resources," said CEO Dr. Martin Edlund. The restructuring also marks the departure of Chief Operating Officer Johannes Hüffmeier, who oversaw the initial development of these operational systems. The Vestmanna site will remain the primary hub for training and technology refinement as Minesto prepares to scale its service offerings for future clients.
