Tucker Bria Wealth Strategies Joins Cetera Following LPL Acquisition

Financial advisors Jim Tucker and Patrick Bria have transitioned their Durham-based practice, Tucker Bria Wealth Strategies, to Cetera’s Summit Financial Networks community. The move transfers approximately $420 million in assets under administration, marking a significant departure after the firm’s decade-long tenure at Commonwealth Financial Network.

The partners initiated a monthslong search for a new partner after LPL announced its acquisition of Commonwealth. Their primary objective was to secure a firm that provided robust back-office and technology support without mandating changes to their established client service model. By joining Cetera, the team retains its existing custodian, Fidelity's NFS, and continues utilizing the third-party technology stack integral to their operations.

"We were deliberate about choosing Commonwealth, and we were just as deliberate about where we went next," said Tucker. "We wanted a partner strong enough to provide the compliance, technology and back-office support we didn't want to build ourselves, but flexible enough to let us keep running our business exactly the way we always have."

Beyond technical continuity, the firm prioritized a high-touch, relationship-driven approach. The practice, which includes next-gen advisors Josh Polidori, Chris Bleeker, and Taylor Clement, focuses on serving multiple generations of families. Tom Halloran, Cetera Advisor Channel Leader, noted that the team’s emphasis on long-term client relationships and structured succession planning aligns with Cetera’s own growth strategy. The transition allows Tucker and Bria to maintain their "Life alters wealth" philosophy while leveraging Cetera’s scaled infrastructure.
